Facts about the St.Kitts Nevis Citizenship by Investment Program

 

Applicants of the St. Kitts Nevis Economic Citizenship or St.Kitts Nevis Citizenship by Investment program are given all the rights and privileges that are enjoyed to persons who are Citizens of St.Kitts by birth. However, persons who have obtained Economic Citizenship or Citizenship by Investment cannot vote in the St.Kitts Nevis National Elections.

Citizenship-for-investment or Economic Citizenship has been in recent times one of the main Income earners for St Kitts and Nevis .The Citizenship by Investment by Investment Program has created many jobs and has been the catalyst for much of the development in St.Kitts and Nevis.

The St.Kitts Citizenship by Investment Program is well legislated, The Citizenship by Investment Program was created by virtue of the Citizenship by Investment act of 1984, which makes the St.Kitts Citizenship by Investment Programs one of the oldest Citizenship Programs worldwide that offers persons a legal and transparent manner in which to obtain Citizenship by Investment and a St.Kitts and Nevis Passport.

 

The Citizenship by Investment regulations were amended and modernized by way of the St. Christopher and Nevis Citizenship by Investment regulation, no.52 of 2011.

 

 

The St.Kitts Citizenship by Investment Program does not require applicants to visit the country or attend an interview before taking up Citizenship by Investment. However, the St Kitts Nevis Citizenship by Investment Unit requires all applicants to submit themselves to very thorough due diligence process before approving their Citizenship by Investment application.

 

 

St Kitts Nevis Citizenship by Investment Options

 

The St.Kitts Nevis Citizenship by Investment Program allows persons to Obtain Citizenship by Investment under two options.

1.       Citizenship by Investment Real Estate Option

2.       Citizenship by Investment – Sugar Industry Diversification Fund (SIDF option)

 

 

Citizenship by Investment – Real Estate Option

 

To be eligible for Citizenship by Investment via the Real Estate option, the Investor/Applicant has to make a minimum investment of USD$400,000 through the purchase of property in a Government approved Citizen by Investment Project

 

Under the Citizenship by Investment Real Estate option, the following Citizenship Fees apply;

Citizenship Fees for Main Applicant -                                    US$50,000.00

Citizenship Fees for Spouse -                                                US$25,000.00

Citizenship Fees Children under 18 years                             US$25,000.00

Citizenship Fees for qualified dependents over 18 years       US$50,000

Under the Citizenship by investment Real Estate option the property must be held for a minimum of 5 years before being

resold, future buyers can obtain Citizenship by Investment when the property is resold.

 

 

Citizenship by Investment – Sugar Industry Diversification Fund (SIDF option)

St Kitts Nevis Citizenship by Investment can be obtained by making a direct cash donation to the Government of St.Kitts Nevis Sugar Industry Diversification Fund commonly called the SIDF Method.

 

Contribution levels for St. Kitts Nevis Citizenship for persons using the SIDF Method are as follows;

 

Citizenship by Investment for an Individual Applicant   –                            US$250,000

Citizenship by Investment for applicant with three dependents               US$ 300,000

Citizenship by Investment for applicant with five dependents’                 US$ 350,000

Citizenship by Investment for applicant with seven dependents’             US$ 450,000

US$50,000.00 for additional contribution for each dependent above seven dependents

 

Citizenship by Investment due Diligence Fees(background check)

US$7,500 for main applicant

US$4,000 for dependents over 16 years
